The “THINK SKATE” campaigns main goal is to raise motorist awareness to all Longboard and Skateboard road users and encourage safe skating and the use of safety gear.

The campaign will achieve this mainly through publicity, by means of branded stickers, banners and t-shirts as well as using social media (Facebook, Titter), YouTube videos and public events. The idea is that every time anyone sees the Think Skate - Skate Safe logo, they will think about longboarders or skaters for a few seconds.

The Think Skate campaign aims to do this by:

Goals

Informing and educating all road users to be on the lookout for longboarders and skateboard users.

Educating all skaters about the importance of safe and responsible road usage and the appropriate way to responded to motorists.

Showing that as members of the longboarding and skating community we are committed to making the sport safer.

Encouraging all skaters to wear appropriate protective gear.

Educating riders about the importance of appropriate technique and skating within their skill level.

The First "Think Skate" Stickers

You may have see the "Think Skate" stickers before, these original stickers where designed and printed by by Mike Upham, and were a good idea to raise awareness, however we felt like it needed to be more than just the sticker, there needed to be a Campaign behind the stickers too, so "Think Skate - Skate Safe" was born. Some of the original sticker image (Board) has been used for the new logo and credit must be given to Mike Upham for his contribution. Unfortunately "Think Bike"  say that they have a copy right on this design and so the stickers have been redesigned.
